Apparently the phenomenon known as loldogs and its close relative, lolcats, has escaped my awareness until now. The premise is to take a picture of an unsuspecting animal, project your loathsome anthropomorphic interpretation onto it, misspell the resulting phrase, and paste it on the picture, just in case your audience has never seen or understood captions.
Nevertheless, sometimes, I do indeed LOL:

You get the general idea. There are pages and pages of these things. Reams. Scads. We will not calculate the person-hours spent on misspelled captions, but I notice that the soaring popularity of these sites closely parallels the rising cost of gasoline. Coincidence? You decide.
